Framer website launch checklist

Check the details that matter before you publish.

The final pass on a website is about more than visual polish. Visitors need clear navigation, readable pages on small screens, working links, and enough context for search engines to understand each page.

Use this checklist after the design and content are in place. It works for a Framer template you have remixed or a site you built from scratch.

Make each page understandable

Start with the home page, then check every important page on its own. Give each page a clear main heading that says what it offers. Remove leftover template copy, confirm that buttons describe where they go, and make sure the navigation labels match the destination pages.

Preview real interactions at several widths

Use Framer's Preview mode and resize the viewport or choose a breakpoint to test desktop, tablet, and phone layouts. Click through menus, forms, buttons, and linked cards. Look for clipped text, awkward image crops, controls that are too close together, and sections that become hard to scan on a narrow screen.

  • Open every main navigation item and return to the home page.
  • Check a long page from top to bottom on a phone-sized viewport.
  • Inspect any pages generated from CMS items, including one with longer text or different imagery.

Write page-specific SEO details

Set a site title and description in Site Settings, then use Page Settings to give key pages a distinct title and page description. Use language a visitor would recognize, not a repeated list of keywords. Review the social preview image and whether each page is allowed to appear in search engines. Framer can also use CMS fields for unique titles and descriptions on CMS pages.

Publish, then check the live URL

Click Publish in the Framer editor. Framer provides a framer.app address, and a custom domain can be connected when you are ready. Open the published site on a phone and desktop browser, test the main paths again, and correct anything that differs from the editor preview. A successful publish is the start of the final check, not the end of it.
